The King of Comedy

Once, Albert Einstein met Charlie Chaplin and said that he admires Charlie Chaplin’s art that the world understands every act of Charlie even though he does not speak a word.

In return what Charlie said will live you amazed and speechless. Charlie said,” Yes it’s true, but your fame is, even greater, the world admires you, even more, you say so many things about your theory and, everyone praises you for your theories even though they don’t understand what you said.”

Charlie Chaplin was one of the most prominent comic actors in the world who without saying a word, won the hearts of many people. He spread such a light in a comedy sphere which probably cannot be erased.

Only a few people know about his struggles behind his smile. Charlie Chaplin’s poverty made him such a diamond whose rays put a beautiful smile on the face of thousands of people.

Charlie Chaplin was born exactly four days before Adolf Hitler was born. Charlie was born on 16th April 1889 in London city. Charlie Chaplin’s father Charles Spencer Chaplin Sr. and mother Hanna Chaplin were junior artists in a Senior Music Hall. Ones Charlie’s mother was singing on the stage and suddenly she stopped to sing because she was unable to sing at that moment. The audience started a drama and started to be abusive. At that time, the small five years innocent kid appeared on the stage to save his mother. He started to sing with a cute and funny sound which was admired by the audience. That was the first time Charlie made money through his talent. After some days of this incident, Charlie’s mother and father got separated. Charlie and his brother Sydney Chaplin with his mother had to stay at an orphanage because Charlie’s mother didn’t have any job. In an orphanage, his mother had to go through a mental disability situation and the court gave the order to him and his brother to live with his father.

Charlie’s father was married to other women who use to abuse them. Charlie used to do small roles in dramas to deal with his financial crisis.  Charlie always wanted to become an actor so, he always used to go Blackmore Theater. Once, a director saw Charlie while he was performing and that was the person who recognized Charlie’s ability and talent. Through this director, Charlie met E Hamilton. Hamilton offered him a role in a series called “Sherlock Holmes”. Charlie was not literate, so he memorized all the dialogues. He earned a lot of fame from the Sherlock series. There was a riot of dictators at that time and in this situation, Charlie supported the leftist. This was the reason, Charlie’s movie lime lite (1952) was banned in the USA because he was accused to be an agent of Russia.

Charlie won many awards for his acting and comedy. In 1940, Charlie won the best actor award for his role in the film “The Dictator.” In 1995, during the Oscar award, The Guardian Magazine conducted a survey to know the audiences’ choice. The survey report showed that Charlie was the most admired person who was in the heart of many people. Today also, he resides in everybody’s heart. A lot of actors of today’s imitate his acting. A famous singer Michel Jackson once said that he wants to become like Charlie Chaplin. Charlie’s life is such a story that encourages us to be happy even in a difficult time.

On 25th December 1997, when the world was celebrating Jesus Crist’s birthday, the same day, a great actor said good-bye to this world forever. He is now not present in this universe but his acting brings a smile on the sad faces of the people.

Charlie has said that his pain can be the reason for someone’s smile but his laugh should not be anyone’s reason for sorrows.

Many people become arrogant after their success. But Charlie was the person whose feet were always on land even after getting such a huge triumph.
